About this design

The 9 darter is the ultimate achievement for a darts player. Like the 147 for snooker players, or the 300 game in Ten Pin Bowling, the 9 darter is the perfect leg of 501 darts. Although several players have hit a 9 dart finish during a televised event (the first being John Lowe is 1984) only two players have ever hit more than one on TV. Those two are Phil Taylor, and Raymond van Barneveld. Below is Barneveld’s second 9 darter, at the 2009 World Championships; one of the coolest finishes you’ll ever see…and I was there!
