About this design

The Azuma House in Osaka, Japan by Tadao Ando was completed in 1976. Yeah, it's old but I still think it looks like it was designed only a few years ago. I love the fact that the interior courtyard doubles as the light source for all the rooms in the house. The solid blank facade completely shuts out the street. It's a house that focuses on its insides rather than its outside. I'm not so keen on walking outside to cross over to my bedroom, but aesthetically this design is top notch and if I had the chance to move in I would! The design on the t-shirt is made up of three different elements: 1. The blue rectangle is the front of the house, 2. The pink shapes are the shadows from the interior courtyard and 3. is the layout of the whole house.
