The Tower of Babel , which appears in the Book of Genesis, is built in the city of Babel. As you know it is an imaginary building which has appeared in numerous paintings and writings. The tower was built very high in an attempt to reach God but collapsed because the purpose of the building became to honour the achievement of human creation. I feel this symbolical story is a timely reminder for the recession we have right now. The world became driven by money and Globalization but lost its ground because there was no belief in this human activity. Is it only me who thinks this?
