About this design

Berlin Team Time Trial. In 1987 Le Tour did its bit to speed the lifting of the Iron Curtain with three stages of racing, the prologue, a road circuit race of 105.5 km and the team time trial over 40.5km on July 1 and 2nd - three stages in two days of racing in Berlin. The prologue was won by  Jelle Nijdam. The team time trial was won by Carrera led by Stephen Roche who was the ultimate winner of the Tour that year. Coached by  Conconni Stephen Roche also won the Giro and the World Championships in 1987 only he and  Eddy Merckx have pulled off this particular triple...
