About this design
William “Bootsy” Collins , was a integral part of the JB’S between 1969 and 1971, the distinctive Collins bass playing propelled some of the era's monster funk tunes.
He was later part of the large-scale defection in which several of Brown's most valued musicians switched to George Clinton’s Parliament/Funkadelic organization.
His spin-off group Bootsy’s Rubber Band continued the success with hit singles such as “the pinocchio theory”, “bootzilla” and the truly sublime “I’d rather be with you”
Still touring and making music today…a living embodiment of all things funky!
