About this design

This design admires Jacques de Vaucanson , the French inventor and artist with a mechanical background who is credited with creating the world's first true robots and the first completely automated cloth weaving loom.

The design uses de Vaucanson's Digesting Duck robot, which is considered his masterpiece. The duck had over 400 moving parts, and could flap its wings, drink water, digest grain, and defecate.

Pretty good considering it was in 1739!
