About this design
The IBM 5150 was the first "Home" computer, and the stand alone product that made computing a personal and accessible format. Released in 1981, the 5150 was the perfect start to the computing age. With word processing, accounting and games software included, and all packaged to be no bigger than the standard TV of the time, consumers with no previous experience of computing could now pick up a very savvy and accessible little system for a small amount of money. Although it's obviously dated by today's standards, the IBM 5150 is still a technical masterpiece, and the original PC.
