About this design

Second string Jamaican DJ Berris Simpson (aka Prince Hammer ) enjoyed a measure of success in the late 1970s, largely through the patronage of Virgin's Front Line offshoot and the good offices of London maverick Adrian Sherwood.  'Ten Thousand Lion', a febrile and blood-curdling Old Testament chant set to a militant monolith of a rhythm, gained instant notoriety on its original Belva pressing, and became equally sought-after on the 12" Hitrun reissue.
