About this design
Seminal DJ Daddy U-Roy established his King Stur Gav sound system in 1978, and has effortlessly attracted the cream of Jamaican microphone talent from that day to this. Brigadier Jerry, Josie Wales, Ranking Joe, U-Brown and Charlie Chaplin have all graced the set at various times, alongside vocalists of the calibre of Sugar Minnot, Linval Thompson and Al Campbell. This design is a tribute both to the ongoing legacy of Jamaican sounds, and the exuberant, hand-crafted typography of the roadside promotions. (The dance was a roadblock, by the way, with Mo`Bay`s Soul Faith more than holding their own!).
